Clove offers much more than the popular cooking and aroma spice. The powerful antioxidant has been used by health care professionals healing properties. Clove is one of the main components in OnGuard Essential Oil Blend for its antiseptic and slight numbing properties.

Possible Oil Uses: Clove essential oil helps with arthritis, blood clots, bacterial colitis, bones, bronchitis, cystitis, diarrhea, cholera, dental infection, infectious acne, fatigue, flu, tension headaches, flatulence, halitosis (bad breath), hypertension, infection, insecticidal, nausea, insect bites and stings, lupus, neuritis, nettles and poison oak, sinusitis, warts, chronic skin disease, rheumatism, skin cancer, smoking (removes desire), sores, thyroid dysfunction, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, ulcers, and vomiting.

Application:

  • Topically – Should be Diluted before applying to skin. Use a ratio of 1:1 and apply to needed areas. It can be rubbed on the gums surrounding the infected areas. The oil can be used on the tongue to alleviate desires to smoke.
  • Internally – Clove essential oil can be taken internally. I suggest using gel caps, or take with honey or drink.
  • Aromatically – Diffusing can help healing and invite courage and help improve memory.

    I have heard that cloves are good for macular degeneration. Is that correct?

      Correct, of all essential oils clove can offer benefits for macular degeneration. Suggested use is by diluting one drop of oil in 1 tsp. honey or a beverage. It can be taken by capsule or diffused.
